54 FMCG is the holding company of a portfolio of locally branded and locally manufactured Fast-Moving Consumer Goods companies focusing on the Ethiopian market. The portfolio of companies includes manufacturing of edible oil, soap and detergent, food products and beverages.

54 FMCG’s Environmental, Health and Safety and Social Policy is a management framework for establishing our overarching environmental and social and human resource management objectives and commitments. This is achieved through implementation of our management system in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 environmental management system standard and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system standard. This policy document applies to all our operations.
Through the 54 FMCG Integrated Management System, we proactively manage and integrate environmental and social standards across our operations. 54 FMCG adheres to our compliance obligations, including the applicable environmental and social legislation of Ethiopia, as well as to applicable international law and International Standards, including the IFC’s Environmental and Social Performance Standards and the World Bank Group Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines. All new and existing operations are subject to environmental and social assessments to ensure risks can be identified and appropriate levels of control and mitigation applied, and our actions and performance monitored accordingly.
54 FMCG recognizes the importance of protecting our environment. 54 FMCG commits to implement environmental management program to proactively prevent pollution and minimize our impacts on the environment. Our focus areas include sustainable resource use, waste minimization, energy and water conservation, and reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions.
